An oasis is a calm, pleasant place in the middle of somewhere busy and unpleasant. It serves as a feeling of refuge and relief from life's rigor.
Grand Oasis Hotel is located in Mexico City, Mexico. It is a brief pause from all the chaos that the city brings. With my design, two of the six buildings will be taken away and will instead be replaced with a parking deck for valet services.
Since the hotel is only 33 minutes away from Mexico City International Airport, it is perfect for a getaway destination. This hotel encourages travelers, tourists, and nearby citizens to stay and experience the biophilic designed hotel. There is something to do for people of all ages, ranging from calming massages and great workouts to talented local artists. Grand Oasis Hotel is meant to take you away from the hustle and bustle of Mexico City and make you truly feel at ease.
Amenities are dispersed per building and pertain to one of nature’s four elements such as fire, air, water, and earth. This hotel has the main goal of enhancing human health and well-being. It is Gold Certified as per the WELL Building Standard since it meets the preconditions and has 68 points in total.
FIRE
The main building is based on fire and it consists of the reception, restaurant, and cafe. The restaurant is called La Fogata Mexican Cuisine which means bonfire. The cafe is called Velas which translates to candles.
